PEFO VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTER

In 2015, PEFO established a vocational center with the aim of promoting hands-on- skills trainings for out of school youth from rural poor grandmothers’ households. Many children from rural areas tend to drop out of school due to the inability to afford school dues and essential requirement. This vocational center allows them to work towards self employment rather than become job seekers. To date PEFO vocational center is registered with DIT (Directorate of Industrial Training) and offers four major courses in brick laying and construction, Tailoring, Hairdressing, and Carpentry.

And since 2015 PEFO has graduated over 220 youths who are now engaged in various employments, including self-employments.
